Happy international cat day my dear old friend. I miss you so much and I can't believe that you were actually the first friend I made in life.

Sometimes I spot a black cat with bright shiny eyes and I'll wonder whether it's you.
Sometimes I go to a playground and see children merrily sliding down slides and I'll reminisce the times when you followed me around and slid down with me.
Sometimes I'll walk past the old letterbox at my grandparents' house and imagine you, sitting there waiting for me, like the old times.

It's sad that I only have 1 picture taken together with you and everything else are precious memories. They say that as time passes, our memory gets distorted. I'm really afraid that I'll forget the times I spent with you will get distorted to become fiction or even worse, fade away.

You were my childhood and you made me into who I am.
I wish you were still here...
If you ever reincarnate into a cat again, please come and find me.
I won't let you become a stray cat again.
I won't let you go hungry and hunt for food.
I won't let you wait for me at the letterbox.
I won't let anybody force you to stay outside anymore.
I'll take you home.
I'll feed you.
I'll love you.
I'll protect you.
